MENTORSHIP INFORMATION
Hey guys, my name is Karli.
I decided last year that doing the Honors Mentorship Program while at Johnson High School would be the best option for me, and once excepted, and after a few weeks of trying to figure out what would work out best for me I started my internship under the supervision of my student pastor and worship leader, Brandon Bridgefarmer and Brandon Sloan. The experience of my internship throughout this year has been incredible, and everyday I am able to do something different and expand on previous knowledge in regards to the field of ministry and helping others. An everyday experience in the office depends on the day and what type of events are coming up, mostly we are working on planning out events however there have been three main projects that I have been apart of this year. This includes the complete planning and execution of an event called "Friendsgiving" for our student ministry, filming a video for the promotion of DNOW which is an event held in Hall County where student ministries from multiple churches gather to learn about God, and lastly an opening video for Easter Sunday, in which I drew out the complete life of Jesus with spoken word over the video. By far the most favorite accomplishment of this year would be the Easter opener video, as well as being able to grow as a person, becoming closer with my fellow employees, and watching our student ministry evolve. Overall this mentoship has shaped me into the young adult that I want to continue to pursue to be as well as learn to lead and serve others with a full heart, and if there is one thing that I could pass on to some one else it would be, leaders always ask questions.
